Silver clay workshop - 22nd August

Introducing our newest workshop - creating jewellery from silver clay!

We will be working with silver clay to create silver jewellery. On the day, you will have the option to create a statement pendant or a ring. There will be semi precious gemstones available to add to your design if you so wish for an added cost.

You will be shown from start to finish on how to work with the clay, sanding, filing, firing and polishing before taking your piece home with you.

Location: Tory top Chocolate

Time: 12;2:30pm Saturday 22nd of August

Our class will be held in Tory Top Hot Chocolate, please allow plenty of time to arrive before we begin. Students later than 15 minutes will be refused entry to the class to avoid disruption to other students.

What is silver clay? 

Silver clay is a mixture of 99.9% silver, water and a bonding agent.

How does it work?

You create your piece using the clay when it's wet, it has a polymer-like consistency. Once it dries, you file and sand it down before firing the piece to burn off excess water and the bonding solution. After this your piece will be fully hardened and ready for a final polish.

Can I make more than one piece?

For an added fee, you will have the option to make an extra piece on the day.

Can I buy silver chain from you?

Yes, we will have a selection of chains to choose from on the day.

Do you offer gold plating?

Yes, for an added fee. Lead time is up to 2 weeks.
